A team of 18 colleagues from Ring Automotive completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Friday 12 June to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The challenge required the group to climb Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres), and Ingleborough (723 metres) within a 12-hour timeframe. The route encompassed 40km of walking and 5,200ft of total ascent.
The company established a dedicated fundraising page for public donations at https://www.gofundme.com/f/ring-automotive-2026-three-peaks-challenge. The initiative has raised over £1,400 for the charity.
Marketing Director for Ring, Henry Bisson, said: “We have done the Three Peaks challenge as a team for the past few years and this year, we had 18 of us out in the dales. This year was the toughest yet, the great British weather was not on our side, but we battled through the ups and downs and raised a lot of money for our chosen charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which is close to many of us.
“We were also doing this challenge in memory of a colleague and friend at Ring Automotive, who sadly passed away at the end of last year, so we were grateful to come together as a team and do this in his memory.”
