febi has expanded its steering and suspension portfolio with the launch of shock absorbers for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Developed for the independent aftermarket, these components are engineered to match original equipment (OE) performance and fitment accuracy.
The development process includes a three-stage approval system and rigorous testing to maintain damping stability and handling control. Each unit features a silk-black e-coating for corrosion resistance and is secured with protective strapping for transit. Ferdinand Bilstein stated:
“Each febi Shock Absorber undergoes rigorous testing and must pass a strict three-stage approval process to ensure stable damping behaviour, controlled handling and long-lasting comfort.”
The initial range consists of over 600 shock absorbers, supporting more than 60,000 vehicle applications. To assist workshop efficiency, febi has implemented clear product identification and QR code access to its partsfinder system. The brand noted:
“With the introduction of Shock Absorbers, febi adds another essential component to its portfolio, building upon what febi already stands for: Engineering Principles, Proven OE-Matching Quality & The Right Range for your needs.”
As part of the bilstein group, which includes the SWAG and Blue Print brands, febi supplies technical replacement parts to over 170 countries. Further technical details and the full range of steering and suspension components can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
