Alexandre Létang, a mechanic from Quimper (Finistère), is working for the old and the unusual in Guengat (Finistère).
Alexandre Létang, originally from Quimper, a seasoned mechanic, opened his garage full-time, at the beginning of October 2024, at 9, rue du Moulin-Vert, in Guengat, near Quimper (Finistère). Access is by going around the old Jb bois building.
His wife, Jade, a young mother, takes care of all the administrative work of the family business.
“I have a vocational certificate in mechanics, I obtained my vocational baccalaureate and my BTS with additional mention in Sports and collection vehicles. I worked for three years as a competition mechanic in several teams during championships throughout Europe. I then expanded my experience as a forklift mechanic.”
Specialising in unusual cars, a year ago, he decided to open his own garage specializing in unusual cars. However, the garage welcomes all vehicles. “If you have a Japanese model, for example, few garages will agree to do the repairs. The same applies if you want to improve or modify your vehicle for a track weekend.”
“Why change a part if you can repair it? Why charge for a part if you already have it and bring it to me? I don’t have an hourly rate, my prices are per service.”
