A mechanic who got trapped under the front tire of a coach while repairing it, managed to free himself and unfortunately suffers serious injuries.

A frightening incident occurred in Wernberg-Köblitz. The driver of a coach noticed a defect in the front right tire while driving and immediately contacted a mechanic from his company to repair the problem.

The mechanic who was called to the scene attempted to raise the bus using a jack. As he attempted to use a second jack, the bus slipped off the jack already in place. “At the time, the worker was lying prone under the front axle,” the Nabburg police station described the incident. The mechanic was briefly crushed under the bus’s front tire. Fortunately, the bus’s air suspension lifted itself shortly thereafter, allowing the mechanic to free himself.

Although the mechanic initially thought he was uninjured, serious injuries were discovered at home. An ambulance subsequently transported the injured man to a nearby hospital. The Nabburg Police Department has begun an investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident.
