MANN-FILTER will present new e-axle filtration solutions for electric commercial vehicles at Automechanika, following their release to the independent aftermarket.
Originally developed for original equipment, references HU 6035 x and HU 7052 x provide cooling and lubrication filtration for the e-axle on the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 truck.
Key technical specifications include:
- Motor and electronics protection: Dual HU 7052 x units separate particles from electric motor and power electronics cooling oil, utilising an integrated bypass valve to maintain oil flow during cold starts or potential blockages
- Transmission filtration: Metal-free, recyclable HU 6035 x filter removes metallic abrasion from gear teeth within the e-axle transmission
- Synthetic media: MULTIGRADE O-eM 50 fully synthetic medium provides 99.5% separation efficiency at 50 µm, offering reduced differential pressure and water resistance
Daniela Knodel, Product Portfolio Manager at MANN+HUMMEL, explained:
“Unfiltered oil is still better than none at all,” explains Daniela Knodel, Product Portfolio Manager at MANN+HUMMEL. “Our bypass valves work very precisely: they only open when and for as long as necessary. Especially in the commercial vehicle sector, constant flow and reliable lubrication are crucial for the functionality of the e-axle.”
Addressing transmission protection, Knodel added:
“This is precisely why we developed our MANN-FILTER HU 6035 x, which is specifically designed to meet the requirements of transmissions in modern e-axles. In addition, it is completely metal-free and can be recycled in a resource-efficient way,” explains Knodel.
Products will be displayed at Automechanika in Hall 3.0, Stand D55.
