MOOG Showcases Engineering Specifications for Wheel End Bearings Portfolio

MOOG has highlighted the technical specifications of its replacement Wheel End Bearings range, which offers original equipment-style fitment for passenger vehicles and carries a five-year warranty.

The product range features hardened stainless sleeves to improve durability under varying operating conditions, alongside crowned raceways and rollers designed to prevent misalignment and minimize vibration. The bearing units incorporate an updated seal design to limit potential contaminants. According to side-by-side performance testing conducted by independent German firm IAMT under simulated operating conditions, the MOOG seal design outperformed the corresponding OE part and alternative aftermarket components.

The bearings utilize OEM-aligned designs, integrated ABS sensors, and included mounting hardware accessories to assist technicians with installation efficiency. Active Sensor Bearing technology is also embedded to maintain compatibility with modern onboard diagnostic systems. The inventory expansion establishes 94.4% coverage of the registered European passenger vehicle parc.

Julien Russeau, Product Management Director EMEA, DRiV, said: “MOOG has once again delivered an innovative, comprehensive, and highly durable problem solving range that will help workshops increase their shares of one of the market’s fastest growingvehicle service categories. MOOG Wheel End Bearings, as with every other MOOG product, are engineered to help provide problem-solving solutions as well as the safety and durability installers and their customers demand. That’s one more reason why so many workshop owners and technicians prefer MOOG for Steering & Suspension replacements”.
