PHINIA Inc. has published its third annual Sustainability Report, detailing environmental, social, and governance operational data for 2025.
During 2025, the business committed approximately 85 per cent of its research and development expenditure towards technologies that enhance fuel efficiency and support alternative fuels. Key engineering milestones included securing TÜV SÜD certification in Germany for its hydrogen internal combustion engine (H2ICE) retrofit technology.
In its remanufacturing division, PHINIA increased the reuse of core mass material to 63 per cent at its primary facility, up from 52 per cent in 2024, with 93 per cent of the remaining material sent for recycling. Operationally, the business reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 35 per cent compared to 2024, supporting a target to achieve a 50 per cent reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 against a 2020 baseline.
“Our 2025 Sustainability Report demonstrates how sustainability is embedded in the way PHINIA innovates, operates, and creates long-term value for our stakeholders,” said Brady Ericson, President and Chief Executive Officer, PHINIA. “From advancing lower-carbon and zero-carbon alternative fuel technologies to expanding circular economy principles, we are delivering practical solutions that help our customers improve efficiency, expand fuel choice, and reduce emissions today. We also made great progress across our people and operations by reducing our environmental footprint, investing in our employees, and strengthening responsible business practices. With disciplined execution and sound governance, we are building a more resilient PHINIA while driving a more sustainable future.”
The company also completed its first enterprise-wide double materiality assessment and secured EN 9100 aerospace quality management certification.
