Ring has introduced four new products to its towing portfolio, focusing on lighting safety and connection integrity. Under UK law, trailers must be equipped with specific lighting and reflectors; failure to comply can result in fines of up to £2,500 and three penalty points.
New Lighting Solutions
Ring has launched 4-foot (RCT955/LED) and 6-foot (RCT965/LED) PVC trailer boards. Both units feature four-function LED lamps with dynamic indicators, brake lights, tail lights, and integrated licence plate mountings. These boards include a fog lamp, two reflectors, and a seven-pin plug with a six-metre cable, carrying E4/E11 approval.
For users requiring a portable solution, the new RCT802 magnetic LED lighting kit features two five-function lamps. The kit is secured via magnets, bypassing the need for permanent wiring. It includes a 12-metre cable and a four-metre span between the lamps.
Connection and Protection
To assist with caravan and trailer storage, Ring has released the RCT735 alignment cap. This accessory ensures the correct alignment of 13-pin plugs and creates a watertight seal to protect electrical contacts from corrosion during storage.
