In a recent real-life wiper blade test conducted by Automotive Insights in March 2025, Valeo SilencioTM and its sister brand SWF Das Original secured the top two positions, demonstrating their continued leadership in automotive innovation.
Valeo SilencioTM emerged as the overall winner with a score of 1.5, while SWF Das Original closely followed in second place. The test evaluated six major wiper blade brands, including Bosch, Continental, Open Parts, and Doga, across 25 different vehicles over a three-month period under real-world driving conditions.
Performance was assessed across five equally weighted categories: ease of installation, city driving performance, motorway performance, durability in car washes, and effectiveness on dirty windscreens.
Valeo SilencioTM was commended for its effortless installation due to clear instructions, exceptional streak-free visibility in city traffic (day and night), consistent high-speed performance on motorways, robust durability through repeated car washes, and outstanding cleaning power on dirty windscreens.
SWF Das Original was recognised for its quiet and uniform wiping action in both urban and motorway driving, excellent durability under daily use and in automated car washes, and reliable cleaning performance, maintaining visibility in challenging dirt and rain.
