Bosch Integrates AI Assistant Into ESI[tronic] Diagnostic Platform

Bosch is updating its ESI[tronic] diagnostic software with an AI-based assistant designed to streamline fault identification and vehicle maintenance for independent workshops.

Previewed ahead of Automechanika Frankfurt, the tool will launch at the end of the year alongside the 2026/4 software update. The assistant analyses fault patterns, Bosch diagnostic data, original manufacturer information, and repair instructions to generate structured decision-making options.

Workshop technicians can input fault codes or keywords to receive repair suggestions without navigating complex menus. Throughout the repair process, the system functions as an interactive dialogue tool, allowing mechanics to query specific diagnostic steps or evaluate alternative solutions.

The function will be rolled out to existing subscribers of the ESI[tronic] Advanced and Master software packages at no additional cost.
