Ferrari has announced that Enrico Galliera will step down from his position as chief marketing and commercial officer after 16 years with the firm. Former BMW Italy head Massimiliano Di Silvestre will succeed him in July 2026.
The executive transition follows the May launch of the Luce, Ferrari’s first all-electric supercar. The $640,000 (£485,552) vehicle, styled by designer Sir Jony Ive, received public criticism regarding its aesthetic direction from figures including Italy’s deputy prime minister and transport minister, Matteo Salvini, and the company’s former chairman. Company shares fell by 8% the day following the unveiling.
The official corporate statement did not reference the vehicle launch or subsequent market reaction, stating that Galliera’s departure was planned. Since assuming the commercial lead in 2010, Galliera’s remit included overseeing client allocations for limited-run vehicles, alongside managing the introduction of the hybrid LaFerrari in 2013 and the company’s initial public offerings in New York and Milan.
Chief executive Benedetto Vigna said that Galliera:
“has played a significant role in the company’s growth and in strengthening the Ferrari brand worldwide.”
He added:
“He has the gratitude of the entire Ferrari team and my personal best wishes for the future,”
