Motul has announced a new strategic partnership with the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team (BbKRT) for the 2025 World Superbike Championship. This partnership coincides with Kawasaki’s new premium brand strategy.
The BbKRT team will race the KB998 Rimini, a motorcycle developed through the collaboration of Bimota’s craftsmanship and Kawasaki’s technical resources. The bike’s development began in early 2024, with testing conducted to prepare it for WorldSBK competition.
The team’s riders, Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani, achieved top ten finishes in all three races at the season’s opening round in Australia.
Motul has also renewed its partnership with HRC Honda for the World Superbike Championship. The team will continue to use Motul lubricants and feature Motul branding on their bikes.
The HRC Honda team riders, Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge, will race the updated CBR1000RR-R. Xavi Vierge finished 11th in all three races of the opening round, while Iker Lecuona was sidelined due to injury.
Motul’s partnership with HRC extends to the MXGP (Motocross Grand Prix) series, where Tim Gasjer and Ruben Fernandez compete, and the MXGP2 series, featuring Ferrucio Zanchi and Valerio Lata.
