Europe: Point S Addresses Family Business Succession Gap With Next Generation Campus

Point S hosted its second Next Generation Campus in Provence, France, bringing together young professionals from nine countries to address leadership succession across its global independent garage and tyre retail network.

According to Deloitte Private’s 2026 Family Business Succession Planning and the Next Generation report, 40 per cent of family businesses expect a leadership transition within the next decade, while 37 per cent feel highly confident in the preparedness of incoming leaders. The Point S initiative focuses on four key areas: personal growth, team management, business development, and community collaboration. Over a week of coaching, market analysis, and workshops, participants formulated individualized growth plans for their respective businesses.

Fabien Bouquet, CEO of Point S International, said: “The feedback from this year’s Campus shows exactly why investing in the next generation is so important. We shouldn’t define growth simply as increasing sales or expanding a business. It’s about developing people who can lead teams, understand their customers, make informed commercial decisions and turn ambition into action.

“What has been particularly encouraging this year is seeing participants move from ideas to practical plans. They have challenged themselves to identify opportunities and think about how they can create lasting value for their teams, their customers and their businesses.

“As the automotive sector continues to change, the next generation of independent business leaders will face challenges that previous generations could not have anticipated. Our role is to give them the confidence and skills they need to respond to those challenges and build successful businesses for the future.”
